Swept Away Blog Hop

Happy Valentine's Day and welcome to the Swept Away Blog Hop. Several bloggers are participating starting today through February 17, 2013. Many are giving away some great prizes.

Haven't we all at one time or another wanted to be swept off our feet by a Prince Charming? I never thought it would happen to be, but it did and I ended up marrying my Prince Charming. We're still together today after almost thirty years of marriage.

I think one of the most romantic things he ever did was a surprise on Valentine's Day when we were dating. He was a Deputy Sheriff working the midnight to 8 am shift and he told me he was going to bring his gift sometime in the middle of the night and there was no way I was going to catch him. Oh, and he said that the neighbors would love seeing it the next morning. I figured he was going to put something on the hood of my car, so I kept the front curtains open and lights off. I was determined to catch him and not be embarrassed in front of my neighbors. You know what, I was not able catch him, but I did get the gift before the neighbors saw it. Out of a huge piece of plywood, he had cut out a heart, painted it bright red, nailed it to a stake, and planted it in my front yard. I don't know how he got it there without me seeing him. I must have missed him by only a few minutes. It's been a while since he's done anything like that, but that's okay. He's my Valentine every day now.

  3. Thanks for the giveaway! Sometimes I wish I was swept away by someone's love especially on Valentine's Day. Being young, I have yet to have the opportunity. If I could choose any man in the world to sweep me away, I would certainly choose Alexander Skarsgard. He's nice, funny, polite and well educated. If I could pick a fictional man, I would choose Jamie Fraser from "Outlander." With his rough physicality, loving sensibility, and fierce passion, I know I would be happy for the rest of my life. I wish I could be swept away to New Zealand or Scotland, somewhere beautifully green and primitive.
    Enough with my epic daydreams…
    Happy Valentine's Day!
