Edinburgh Outlet Mall Authors Fair May 28

On Saturday, May 28, 2016, join me, and so many other authors, at the Authors Fair at the Edinburgh (Indiana) Outlet Mall , just off of I-65 at exit 76. We'll be located at in front of the mall between the Claire's and Charlotte Russe outlet stores. The Authors Fair runs from 10 am - 5 pm EDT. Not only will you find some great books, but the Outlet Mall has hundreds of stores for your shopping pleasure. Get that Christmas shopping done early. National Wine Day

Today is National Wine Day. This should be a national holiday, don't you think? I love to write scenes in my novels where the characters are sharing a meal and I try to always include wine. I'm not a wine connoisseur, so I had to do a lot of research to write the scenes where they have to order wine. I had to figure out what wine would go with the type of food they were eating. I have to admit it was so much fun reading and learning about the different types of wines.   Surprisingly, the best place I found for wine research wasn't on the Internet. It was in my Better Homes and Gardens cookbook, which included a chart inside defining the different types of wines. One of the more interesting things I learned about wine is that different wines should be served in different style glasses.   For instance, red and burgundy wines are served in a glass with a larger bowl.
