Another Convention in the Books

Imaginarium was last weekend and, as usual, I had so much fun. Stephen Zimmer and Holly Phillippe never disappoint when it comes to the putting on such a good convention. It's always great to meet new people and see old author friends who I only get to see once or twice a year. This year was no exception.

 

 I had interesting neighbors on Friday and Saturday. The Western Kentucky Ghostbusters were across the aisle from me. They are a charity group that raises money for the Kentucky Children's Hospital and were great guys. I had an interesting discussion with one of them about the Star Trek franchise shows.

My next door table neighbors were authors Missy Goodman and Amy Leigh McCorkle (not pictured). I was thrilled to have them next to me. We've been neighbors before at previous conventions, so I knew I would be in good company with them.

Above, I am with authors (left-right) Molly Daniels/Kenzie Michaels and Beverly Ovalle. This is the first time I'd met Beverly in person. She, Molly and I were previously published by a now defunct publisher. Happily, we all moved on and found success in our new publishing efforts.

In honor of Halloween, these are the treats that passed out to attendees that stopped by my table. I call them Candy Hands. They were a big hit.

I was a member of four panel discussions: Thrilling Mysteries, The Big Rewrite, "I strenuously object!!!" and "Stop Blaming the Butler."  My favorite was "Stop Blaming the Butler." We had a great discussion about writing mysteries. I learned a lot from all four panels.

It was a wonderful convention and I'm already looking forward to Imaginarium 2020.
